My first day at blogging

Well today I have spent the last few hours looking through many sites about blogging, but the one I found most helpful was a wikispace http://aquaculturepda.wikispaces.com/blogs . The author of this wikispace is also writing the following blog which I have also found to have some useful tips for a newbie.

Oh dear, I need to learn about making links correctly.

  1. Glad you found my wiki on blogging useful and if you have an opportunity I would really appreciate your feedback as you work through your blogging experience on what you feel isn’t adequately covered; what you need explained more. Excellent question re-links. I hope you are okay with me taking the time to provide my tips? If I worded the sentence I probably would have said “the most useful site I found, for educators learning how to blog, was a wiki by Sue Waters who also writes useful tips for newbies on The Edublogger. My links would be the word wiki (which would like to the page of my wiki you are talking about), “Sue Waters” (which I would link to Mobile Technology in TAFE blog”) and The Edublogger (which would like to The Edublogger).

  2. Hi
    Welcome to the blogosphere.
Thanks for your comment at my blog (see how things happen — one comment connects another comment, and now I have you bookmarked in my RSS feed)

If you are interested, I encourage you to participate in an ongoing feature called Day in a Sentence — where teachers from around the world boil down their week or a day in the week to a single sentence, and then the host blogger (usually me but this week it is another friend, Bonnie) collects and posts them all on the weekend.

Head on over to Bonnie’s blog (http://blk1.edublogs.org/), if you are interested, or come on back to my blog (http://dogtrax.edublogs.org/) next week.

    Take care
    Kevin

  3. G’day Sue – Many thanks for your comments and I am finding your posts at Edublogger fantastic. I am trying out your tips and I don’t think my blog has looked the same two days running.

G’day Kevin – I headed to Bonnie’s blog to see what the “Day in a Sentence” was all about. It looks very interesting and I will certainly be adding to it in the near future.
